THE SCHOOL COORDINATORGymnasium number two in Tarnobrzeg is situated in the south –east of Poland on the right bank of Wisła river- the biggest Polish river. There are fifty thousand people living in this town. There is high unemployment in this area which is caused by the collapse of “Siarka” factory in the nineties of the 20th century. This factory employed majority of inhabitants of the town and its suburbs. The economy situation caused to the collapse of big companies. Degradation of the quality of society and its permanent impoverishment was another reason for deterioration of some smaller factories. Lots of families were forced to move abroad because of financial situation.
